The Best of 2016

A Year in Review

Happy New Year everyone! We can’t believe 2016 is over and a brand new year full of opportunities is here. We can’t wait to see what trends and adventures 2017 has in store for us. Before we pour ourselves a glass of champagne, let’s look back at all the amazing lines some of our favorite influencers launched this year.

When it comes to accessorizing you can never go wrong with some ring-candy. Allana Davison gets it and released the prettiest ring-set ever. The set consists of four rings with each their own eye-catching details. The perfect set for some serious ring-stacking!

This collection does not only have a very natural and unique design, it also carries a supports a great cause. Bethany Joy Lenz created the Buffalo Offering collection in honor of the Indian American Communities. With every item you buy, you support the Tanka Fund who fights for the preservation of the buffalo.

We are all for girlpower! The three journalists behind Femtastics created one trendy and empowering line of jewelry. From the Girl Gang brooch to the Girl Gang earcuff, all the pieces are super on-trend and remind you that if you can do dream it, you can do it!

Tanja aka Frau Hölle is a woman that embodies talent. She is a self-taught calligrapher and her creations are simply gorgeous. This Fall she released her first ever jewelry line aptly named ‘The Alphabet Collection. Each pendant is engraved with a unique letter, all handwritten by Tanja with a feather pen.

Jolie Janine said it best “we are all children of the universe”. A good celestial inspired ring or necklace never goes out of style. Star Dancer is the perfect line for every dreamer and explorer. Don’t just chase them, be one and with one of these gorgeous pieces you are one step closer.

A big thing in 2016 was mixing finishes. Marianna Makela likes a challenge and grabbed the bull by the horns (wait for the pun). She created ‘Modern Tribe’ which combines a matte and glossy finish with the minimalistic design of a horn. Do we love or do we love?

The prize for edgiest and most intricate design definitely goes to Megan Massacre’s Day of the Dead. The pieces are inspired by Megan’s famous sugar skull tattoo designs. Wearing one of these pieces will guarantee you to be the center of attention!

What do you get when you combine 90’s grunge and baroque? Dahlia by Nyané Lebajoa!  The rings give any outfit a super chic look, whereas the choker and hand bracelet can help spice it up. We love how Nyané took two major trends and combined them into one gorgeous line.

Are Karima and Sharon #FriendshipGoals or what? This power duo released a line of stackable accessories that was inspired by 1920’s Art Deco style. We love the retro feel and how you can wear the rings and necklaces both separately and together!

This year the earcuff took over and we can honestly say; we love it! The Wald Berlin girls created a collection with some of the most amazing ear-pieces imaginable. The classic designs combined with some beautiful gemstones makes this collection the must-have of the year.

Wow, those are some amazing designs and some amazing talents. 2016 was crazy fun, so 2017 bring it on, because we are so ready! Don’t forget to share with us your favorite piece of the year by using the hashtag #StilnestStyle.
